I feel your pain. Finding out what my rat had done made it easier for me to cut myself off emotionally from him.

I read in another comment of yours and I'm unsure if you had meant he'd asked you for more money for a business. Please be careful. Let the 25K loss be the final one. Do not give him any more money and you will see his mask fall off. And should this happen, be prepared to see the ugliest sides of someone you once loved with all your heart. It will hurt but it will give you the motivation to leave as well when you realise it had never been love on his part.

If you ever find out that he isn't in Cairo because of his mom, drop him IMMEDIATELY! Some of these rats aren't afraid to lie about family members being seriously ill, injured in accidents etc. While others use their filial piety - being good sons to their moms - to impress their partners who will willingly help them do anything for their moms - with your money, of course.

Come here often. The people on this forum has given me a lot of moral support and helped me see things more clearly. I wish the same for you.
