Feel sick to read Your story

Hi Nora, I'm so sorry to hear all this again. Well, where do I start? I think You already had a vent and it's good to put it down in writing. You don't need any advice as You have figured those North African men well enough to know their manoevers and deceiving ways. I empathyse with You and think the worst is behind You.

Pity the warning signs were there from the very beginning for all to see. You knew he had already scammed somebody and could not even stay straight with her for few months in order to get his Green Card. She probably saw the scam and refused to go with the deceit. You were foolish enough to marry him and fund his whole miserable family's trip. And he tries to KILL You. OMG. I'm speechless. The saddest thing is this is the nth such story I read. I had to slap myself to remind myself it's not one of my former neighbour's story because this is her exact story only she lives in France.

Many immigrant men start having psychiatric issues because of culture shocks. Immigration causes historical trauma. Immigration + low social status + low education = desaster. Throw in some Islam and North African superstition and We have a Hitchcock scenario. Most immigrant groups tend to suffer higher crime, suicide, desease rates. The change of nutrient (minerals, vitamins and others) input seems to matter as well. You, in good maso- wife turned Bank of America, as New life said, and free slave, doormat and devout friend stand by him. And here I see the biggest problem. You say he wasted 12 years of Your life but You didn't exactly protest or leave. You stayed and let him continue doing what he was doing. He found a willing victim. I think You need to work Your assertiveness and social network. I'm not criticising You for what You did or didn't do.

Yes, do contact Immigration! Mistakes happen and now with current anti- immigrant policies You stand a chance of revoking his GC. MLID succeeded and her Algerian ex-hubby is back to his nice home village where conditions are beautiful and women love spending on their men.
