Hi Nora,

thanks for sharing your story. I'm so sorry for what you have been through. You're better off without him. Don't ever waste anymore time. I know they are not brought up in the same way a lot of us are. We're different. We're all human but different. There's good and bad everywhere but we as women shouldn't be spending these amounts of money. I don't care how successful any woman is. I know he was your husband but he was just awful. He didn't pay bills and he hung out with his friends all night doing things that's very sinful in Islam. I hope he didn't claim to hold up to his religion at all. I don't mean any harm in saying this but when he tried to kill you and went to prison, you should have washed your hands of him then. I don't know how you were able to put trust in him. I know love can make us do some not so intelligent things.

This is a horrible story and I can't imagine living this way for 12 years and spending 100k +. I was involved with a Moroccan once but I never brought him to the US. He was a good actior. Things ended if you read my story that was posted today. He became mentally abusive to me. They are known for being selfish. If they ever do have feelings for you it's usually a selfish love and loyalty. It has to benefit them all the way. I say next time make sure you pick someone who is more like you and came from a very similar background. You could report him to immigration and sue to get your money back. If he's still here. If he's in Morocco the most you can do is report him to immigration because when they leave the country any hopes of getting any money back are gone. If he has a no so good job he still may not be able to give you the money back without assets. The judge may rule no assets to give you the money back. As my grandmother said you can't get blood out of a turnip.

There's been other women on here who lost large amounts of money to a Mena man. Money is material and I'm happy you're still alive!!! I hope you do come back and let us know how you are. I send my best regards!
