Thank you Neptune for your measured response. In truth, just to keep myself sane, I am telling myself I will never see or hear from him again. Although I feel in an emotional limbo at the moment which I can't move on from.

We hadn't got to the serious marriage question, he'd just make little comments like 'I'd marry you but I know you'd never marry me' But I wouldn't want to convert. and I would hear him commenting on other muslims e.g. a Saudi woman who chatted to us in a London restaurant - he was very short with her and afterwards said, she calls herself a good muslim and there she is eating chicken [it wasn't halal and my boyfriend had fish]. However I know he eats KFC and he was sleeping with me but he didn't see his own faults-or accused others because he did maybe?

His social media accounts are still open, FB, Instagram, WhatsApp etc but he hasn't been online or active since we last spoke, but all his friends and family are still his friends so it looks like he has disappeared on us all. I am wondering if his family have convinced him to stay in Pakistan and get married, he is 32 now, and have taken his phone away from him. Who knows, maybe I never will.

After reading all the posts on here I know too that there is no long term future for us if we were together, but it is just the way this has ended which is eating me up.
