I wish I had access to other experiences

Dear Ms.Shömi,I wish I had read your comments earlier.

True S.I.T.S.is a bit biased and too generalized but which book isn't?All books are based on personal experiences of life or narratives of someone else's experiences,coloured by one's prejudices.

I will definitely read the Reza Aslan's book you have mentioned.It will broaden my understanding and I am sure there are yet more books available on personal experiences,both positive and negative.My refering to the SITS repeatedly is for some very pertinent points mentioned therein.Just note how marriages in the mosques are fraught with pitfalls and a possible denial of alimony and ALSO at times abduction/custody of the children.Some non-Muslim women are working with mosques,yet don't know what's in store and fall for blokes visiting the mosques.They feel that since many Muslims are deeply religious they must be very faithful when it comes to marriages under Sharia.There are today many Muslim women raising their voices against some of the provisions therein and demanding a common civil code for all citizens.
