I couldn't believe the similarities in our stories. The difference is my ex was Moroccan and I had known him for over seven years. He wasn't even visa hunting because he was already a citizen.

As it turned out, he went home to marry one of his own, chosen by his relatives and I have not heard from him since.

Our last conversation was when he was sitting in the plane on his way to Morocco. I got an inordinate amount of "I love you's" at that point which should have alerted me. But alas, I was in love.
His friends later informed me of the wedding. The newly weds have already started a family and can be seen on some social media. Interestingly enough, he hides his face in the photos. Hahaha!!
By the way, the wedding took place about a week after he left.
