Healing

I think a lot of us meet these "men" during periods of loneliness, loss or vulnerability. And this is why we mistake their sub par treatment for love. We're looking for someone faithful, someone that will take care of us. We are already at some kind of low point in our lives before we meet these people, whether we realise it or not.

So along comes this good looking mena man that showers us with attention... is possessive... uses charm and flattery... is good in bed... forbidden fruit... and we're hooked. Then when it's all over we feel like %^%

Because we're back to square one again but this time even worse. Because we've given so much of ourselves to a man that's given us breadcrumbs. There are women out here converting to Islam, cutting contact with friends and family, giving full ownership of their bodies and minds.... for a man that wouldn't even cross a pond for them.....

And while all this takes place we're digging ourselves a deeper grave. We're not embracing love or progress, we're embracing pain. When you finally move forward, begin to love yourself or maybe even find a guy that treats you right you will look back and wonder how you ever shed a tear over this mena moron. Letting a mena man go means letting pain go... submission and dependence.....
