in response to reader comment: I wish I could understand

Reading these comments have honestly helped so much, I thought I was alone. My fiancé who is Algerian is constantly putting me down when we have a argument. I have been called so many names it has knocked my confidence, it his especially difficult dealing with it as I suffer from very bad anxiety. A few days ago he said I don't stimulate him, and I should be cooking in the kitchen and how I'm such a bad woman for not cooking. I will learn I am currently 21, I live at home with my Saudi father. We was planning to get married this summer but I am so scared. I really love him, but things are so different now. His constantly calling me insecure, which I have been lately because of the constant name calling from him.

Another thing that hurt me is that he said I know nothing, when in fact I do. I just never talk to him about what I like because He doesn't seem interested. He also said I make zero effort with his family which is so weird as I am always there and always in contact with them. He is the one that hasn't been over to see my dad in over 5 months. This is my first relationship, he was in another serious one before me with a Polish girl. Unfortunately I do throw digs at him about his past, because I will complain that he did something with her but doesn't put effort in with me. He lied in the beginning about pretty much everything but I accepted him as he is. I really need advice, I love him.. but is this what guys do ? I am left feeling stupid weird and ugly. Everything always seems to be my thought. But I'd never say anything hurtful like he does to me. Help
