I wish I could understand

Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men

Submitted by Broken Heart, Jan 28, 2017 at 17:50

Hello to everyone.

I have been reading on here and many stories of broken hearts like mine. My ex is Algerian. Our cultures, mentality, many obstacles make me wonder if we're from the same planet. I love him but I don't think he ever loved me. He may have cared but I don't believe it was love. I know men are stronger emotionally than women but I still wonder. We are officially over and I'm trying to recover. My heart is broken into what feels like a million pieces. We did talk and he said he felt the same and he felt nauseous sick. We can't work our problems out. We have tried numerous times. We promise each other to be more understanding and we end up arguing.

We both have changed because of this.

He said he was going to find an Algerian girl to marry and for me to find an American. Maybe he's right. After reading these stories I think our chances were a very low percentage at making it in marriage. I'm going to read back through here again until I find the name of that book I saw that was being told to different people to read. Hopefully the book will help me understand better because I really feel we are from 2 different planets. I know only time will help me recover.

I'm glad I found this site. I have been wanting and looking for answers maybe now more of my questions will be answered.
