No affection in public is very common amongst Moroccans period..kiss on the cheeks is pretty much the norm..nothing more..accepting your gay friends and treating them equally is a big change because Muslims are not tolerant at all with this topic (if ur practicing Muslims)..sleeping with you..uhm ..well he is older and obviously you've both had partners so not surprising however I would question it- would he marry you even though you've slept together because it's no longer a "halal" marriage..the whole Bit about his family not knowing about you- I got an issue with that based on experience..BUT is it because he's not ready for marriage yet-if so he wouldn't bother (again culture differences..they don't "date" like we do..I would think if his family knew about you, it because the expectation is marriage but if he's not ready...then that's why.
