Yes, Turkish men can be a little aggressive, but this is not a generalization. It depends on the person. If he was born in US, or at least from a modern familt he should be more or less think or behave like an American man. Turks are the only democratic and secular muslims around the world. Well, it has been changing due to politics (Erdogan and his party), but this is another topic for another story. My gut feeling is telling me something has happened between you too, maybe he got jelaous over something that you do not even remember. Turkish men have a big ego and pride. It is very possible that it bothers him but he cannot tell you what is really going on because of his pride. but again, I can tell all of these from your short paragraph

. It is also possible that he wants to break up and cannot tell you directly and trying to pick up fights. You need to ask him what the problem is. I do not think your guy is a classical muslim guy since he is even going to church with you, so I really think you two need to talk. If he was not an aggressive guy from the beginning then chances are something is bothering him.
