I wouldn't so much describe this scenario as mysterious, but as slightly sordid. However, it's none of my business so I will only add my own input. I've known and dated many Persian guys, and what I will say about them is that they usually have many faces. They're generally very intelligent, very ambitious with high standards and high expectations. Cultured, love to party. Not the most faithful (clearly). Not the most religious either, but quite spiritual. They put themselves first and are very ruthless. They're NOT the types to ask for money as unlike these Arab fellas they're VERY proud, but they will gladly use you for sex or status.

Most importantly, they're very COMPLEX. Getting to know a Persian guy is like figuring out a Rubik's cube!

I can't help but think you're romanticising this man. I doubt this "mysterious" man is spending weeks in jail, more likely he's with his wife/other girls. He's cheating on his wife, and I doubt you're the only other female in his life.

Look at this logically - you've embarked on an affair with its foundations built on distrust. You'll never trust him, and he'll never trust you. Mark my word for it, Iranian men are extremely jealous and will not stand for being cheated on. Therefore if you ever were to hit it off he would lay down the surveillance like nobody's business. They on the other hand can have a friggin harem and that's A ok but that's just how the cookie crumbles.
