Good Terms and Legal Problems

Hi Shomi:

She should try and stay on good terms, but people who willingly participate in marriage fraud are the ones who are more likely to get slammed with financial responsibility for liars and scammers several years after they have moved here and are long gone.

Knowing what you are doing completely changes the viewpoint from a legal perspective and I cannot advise going along with a scam for what is the perceived greater good.

But I think she can stay informed and in touch with her mother, and if she does, I suspect that sooner or later her Mom will be looking stateside for help.
