I'm having a lot of problems with my emotions

I guess I made a mistake activating my Facebook account but it's just it's a good way I keep in touch with a lot of people. I would like to ask some questions. First of all I'm not sure if I said this guy is Algerian. I've been reading the stories about Algerians and how desperate they are to get out of Algeria. I got another hateful message from him from a different Facebook account. I was thinking about how he always stayed mad about me having male friends on my Facebook and some of these people we grew up together. There's not anything romantic. He didn't want me using a photo of me as my profile pic. Are the things common for these guys? If yes, why?

Thanks for any replies. I'm trying to understand and I'm trying to get myself together but I seem to be losing the battle as far as getting myself together.
