no contact is the best

hello Chelsea, you are absolutely correct that no contact is the best medicine.
It is like you now have control over the situation rather than the situation and him having the control over you or any of us who are or have been in this situation.
I know that my husband will want a divorce...hahahaha ! When i am good and ready and on my terms i will divorce him ! I am 59 years old and at this point in my life i have no intentions of getting married again. We live in a free country where cohabitation is permissible !!
The one item that has bothered me is this....once an algerian has married the couple must give the local town/cityhall a copy of the marriage documents so the marriage is noted as legal. Since we were married in Tunis it was required that he submit this documents to his municipality, which he did not.

Once the documents are submitted then a "family book" for the married couple is established.
When i questioned my husband about this registration he told me it was not necessary. Another lie....not surprised at all. He does not want the marriage acknowledged in his country so all he has to do is divorce me in the religious way. In addition to that there would no record that he was ever married.

Well....I have now taken care of that. i have sent copies of our marriage documents via mail to his town hall and police station !!!
In addition to that I also sent a copy of the marriage documents to his embassy.
These algerian men need to know that we western women may do stupid things but we are not stupid...does that make sense !!??
