My arabic husband is a nightmare

Ok so wow I've been married to my Jordanian born Muslim husband for almost a year now. He was so sweet and loving at first but is now a nightmare because he just recently got his conditional green card. Since he got it he has refused to help pay the bills, is super jealous of anyone and everyone and had moved in and out 3 times in the last 3 months. He came back home 2 weeks ago and attacked me this past weekend when he wanted sex (and we have sex every single night even up to 4 times) and I asked him to go brush his teeth. He smokes 3 packs a day and brushes like every couple days. Its repulsive. But he physically attacked me grabbing my arms and shoving me and ripped my nightgown off and literally picked me up and threw me down on the bed. I was shocked and fought back and am covered in bruises. We fought for 10 minutes and I finally got away and made him leave. I cannot take this kind of abuse. I am not sure what to do about a divorce or how to stop my sponsorship for his green card. We have to be married for 2 years for him to become a citizen so I'm not sure what my options are. I feel like such an idiot but will not be with someone who physically abuses me and tries to rape me.
