To Not Sure

It does not matter how much you speak to them etc etc. I met my ex husband in person, we talked every day, we skyped, he never asked for anything directly, I visited him regularly, we got married, he came to live in the UK, he got his Indefinite Leave to Remain and then he left. Just like that and with no explanation other than we now know he was a "visa geezer" and his whole family were in on it! If I were you I would not bother investing your precious time, energy, emotions, sanity on this man / situation. As they say "if in doubt do nowt". There is the odd good story / happy ending but not many. Just walk off in another direction and find someone closer to home - you will never know the whole story or the truth until you are in too deep.

And that does not include the massive culture clash - they do not think or act as we do and justify their actions under their supposed religion - Islam. They also have no conscience when they break your heart and disrupt your life totally. You are then left to rebuild your life and recover in the aftermath of a romance / relationship / marriage that was all a lie and an illusion. And that is very hard depending on the severity of the deceit, betrayal, abuse, your personal situation! It makes you question your whole being.
