Very confused

Hi my name is Monea I am 23 years old and I go to college. I had an account on a penpal website that I used to talk to my friend from Indonesia. About a month ago a guy from Morocco messaged me and said he would like to get to know me. So we messaged each other and after about a week he told me that he loves me and wants to marry me. He is 19 and I kind of like him but I don't know.....I have been reading these comments and it has kind of scared me.

I am black not that it matters but I know what it is like to be judge by my race and I do not want to do that. I am not going to marry him haha but I do like him and I would want to date him. But now I am very hesitant. After reading these comments I feel very stupid now for thinking that he could actually like me. He seems very genuine and we talk through text message, Skype, etc. I just feel very confused now. I do not want to judge him based off things I have read online but there is an overwhelming amount of stories about scams with some similarities to mine....... Any advice would help....
