Stranchan, I agree with you; and I don't know how Daniel's comment reflects what you say. Some countries are flat-out strict about maters of dress. Others, such as the US, are very permissive (we have nude beaches, and clothing-optional hot springs). Israel is in-between, with self-appointed Ultra-Orthodox "modesty police" making life difficult for women with bare shoulders, etc.; but in other places people cavorting in skimpy bikinis. I don't dispute the right of any of these countries to behave the way they do; it's a matter of national and local sovereignty.
