Reader comment on item: Hijabs on Western Public Women

The pictures are interesting. Seeing them all together, what most of the woman exude is a frightening air of being pleased with themselves. They are being nice to the poor noble savages and have concomitantly improved their looks. Because, no doubt, worn as they do, a headscarf IS flattering!) I doubt that a single one of them twigs the submission aspect. (Not that this makes it any more bearable!)

The only one who had obviously no such thing in mind is the wife of Prince Charles. By the way, that's how she ought to be refered to if one can't bring oneself to use her formal title. "Camilla Parker Bowles" she is not. (Not that this remark is meant to excuse in any way her and her husband's ridiculous and potentially damaging behaviour.)

And as far as Oriana Fallaci is concerned, Mater Lachrymosia ought to have refused to interview that old goat in the first place, but that would have meant less media exposure for her. (For old goat as well, by the way!) As it was, her tearing off the Muslim garb was nothing but the tantrum of a spoilt brat, not a valiant act of defiance.

P.S. I see that a majority of sources in the Internet say that Fallaci did not abort the child, but that she had a miscarriage after having been kicked in the belly by her lover, the father of the child.

So make the sentence: "... a woman who has a much-publicized affair with a deeply troubled man ten years her junior that is so "tempestuous" that the man kicks her in the belly, thus killing her (and his) unborn child and then writes two books about is is ...what?"

I apoligize for not having checked my sources better in the first place, but my argument remains valid.
