Reader comment on item: Hijabs on Western Public Women

Submitted by RRWest (Canada), Jun 21, 2009 at 14:42

In the interests of fair play, I will admit that women wearing a headscarf in a religious setting may make sense given that they do it out of reverence rather than submission. Catholic and Jewish women often do it for that reason. Muslim women, however, do it out of fear and having been taught from day one that they are not the equal of men in any sense of the word. This is why I am appalled that world leaders follow this trend and wear head scarves when visiting Muslim countries.

It is also very important to note why the Swiss foreign minister did so; Iranian natural gas. I suspect that this was the true reason that modern women world leaders and ministers kow-tow to the Muslims; oil and gas. yet that makes it all the more despicable since they are submitting to this indignity for the sake of money.

May the west prevail.
Kaffir and proud.
