Margaret Thatcher and the Hijab

Reader comment on item: Hijabs on Western Public Women
in response to reader comment: Margaret Thatcher

Margaret Thatcher most certainly would not have worn a Hajib. She believed that the western Judeo-Christian (her own term) culture was superior to that of the others. Superior, in the sense of fairness, human rights, &c. On that score she was correct.

History attests to it and we do not have to go far back in history to see it. Very recent history shows how Islam resorts to violence and lies. The "Palestine" question being the proof of the pudding. The indigenous overwhelming majority of people living in Israel were Jews. In the 1950s the Arabs sent a delegation to the Un claiming that the term Palestine was a Zionist myth. That's because no Arabs ever called themselves Palestine until after the Israelis beat them hands down in 1967. You can always tell when an Arab is lying. He is speaking! These people are pathological liars as Margaret Thatcher knew very well. She could see them for what they are.

If you think that sounds prejudiced, read Brigette Gabriel's book Because They Hate, a Lebanese woman who saw her country destroyed by "Palestinians." Check also the books of her husband Mark Gabriel, who was an Imam at Cairo University: he lost his family and nation because he simply asked a question about Islam. (Gabriel is a pseudonym because he would be killed for becoming a Christian.)
What a pity we no longer have leaders like Margaret Thatcher. Even people who disagreed with her politics could see, as the popular comment went, she was the only man among the wimps in our government.
