Three Questions in my mind.

Reader comment on item: Hijabs on Western Public Women

Submitted by Ynnatchkah (United States), Apr 16, 2008 at 02:20

Serious Question:

After accessing the "Scarves for Solidarity" that claims to help the Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence (http://www.sccadv.org/vast/index.html), three questions arouse in my mind:

1. Why the Scarves for solidarity sponsors, since they are "so good" -coming from a "religion of peace and kindness" simply do not organize a rally or a movement for help, WITHOUT requesting from infidels to wear a Hijab?

2. What's the link (In their mind) when "raising awareness about Islam" ("not indoctrinating"), what's the link in between Islam and domestic violence, since in THE SAME step they aim to "promote" both realities?

3. Is the Muslim Association starting any type of "helping hands" to these females who suffered violence in an aim to bring them to Islam, b/c in Islam they will have a better life? :-) J, B/C in other countries, especially in poor ones like Brazil, Muslims have been coming with this "honorable" work, in order to convert poor and victims of violence and bring them (in their brilliant kind), to a "better life"- by now participating in Islam.
