Tulle: They Don't Lie All The Time, But It's Part of the Game

Tulle, scammers and liars won't lie all the time, just as spouse abusers aren't always abusive. They'll buy chocolates and flowers, too.

By being truthful about certain things, they are able to keep a straight face and their confidence, and trust me, it's a lot easier to do it on-line than in person. In fact, people have a tendency to open up about certain things in all of this on-line pillow talk.

There's no doubt, Tulle, you are being scammed here, and don't feel like you have to confront him or anything like that. I can pretty much promise you there will be no satisfactory explanation or tearful apology. If you call people like him out, what they may do is accuse you of being rude, try and blame everything on you (this is actually a technique to get you to back down) or get mad and threaten to never talk to you again.

Please, Tulle, listen to Becs as well and feel free to come back as often as you like. Otherwise, it would probably be a good idea to get away from the computer chats and get out with some people in real life.

Ultimately, though, it would not surprise me in the least if he tried to contact you in a couple of months. That's happened to me a couple of times. They wait for things to settle and then will try again.

At that point, you're pretty much either a rebound or a recycle lead, and you deserve better than that, Tulle.
