Thanks Jae for your reply! I'm so sorry to hear what you went through with your marriage. It's amazing you got out, you sound like a very strong woman! I'm proud of you. And you are so right about exoticism. This is exactly what it was. Something different and exciting. But thank you for sharing your own story, because I know many women in relationships find their way here and they need to read this stuff.

I know exactly what you mean with "walked on eggshells". I grew up with a dad who would sometimes "explode" with anger. You couldn't tell when this would happen or what would trigger it. God has really helped me through things in my life and I feel very strong now, but I wouldn't want my children to grow up in a home that is unsafe, were they would constantly be afraid of their father.

If you haven't already met someone new, I'm sure you will. Someone who treats you with love and respect! :)
