You seem like a sincere, intelligent young woman so I'll just lay this out straight.
It's not because he's Turkish that he treated you this way. It's because you made it easy for him. He didn't see you as a girlfriend because you told him you couldn't be with him. After he realized he couldn't have a relationship, he chose to continue a relationship of sorts where you were an object and he was a continuous taker. Turkish Iranian American Scottish whatever nationality the guy is...no one will give anyone else an ounce of respect if they care way too much. Calling, crying, contacting him after he made it clear he didn't want to talk to you...his loss!! but you didn't need to chase him
I was in a similar situation, as many young women are when faced with their first real crush. It's not because he's Turkish, any guy under 50 will probably try to pull this on anyone willing to let go of their self respect.
I'm sorry I'm being harsh, I've dated a few men and I've come to understand that everyone is different. Also, everyone has the ability and the room to change. This guy may choose to grow up, he may choose to stay in the mindset he's in and treat girls like they aren't human. But obviously there is too much between the two of you in terms of bitterness or resentment so you can now learn from him and find the meaning of self-respect and self-love which is more important than any guy in the world. Underneath all the drama of dating, all you're trying to find is that self-love and connection to others, whether it's romantic or not. Much love and luck to you
