Thanks so much for your lovely response.. So much of what you say rings true and makes me feel better I did not imagine everything of course I don't mean I feel better as you and others have gone through this pain but that he made me feel so often I was in the wrong sometimes I believed him. I have sent you a contact request on Skype would be nice to chat..

Your words are so lovely and I hope you too find the happiness you deserve.. I never experienced the rituals you say about washing the house and the bathroom etc but I lived in sharm but I did experience in Cairo his brothers wife having to come round to his mothers house and literally scrub the floor on her hands and knees.. Not because his mother was old as she was certainly not or because she was old or ill but apparently out of respect.. It was crazy the mother just sat there barking orders at this poor woman whom they just said bad things about.. I just thought god this could be me!!! I did have the whole couldn't look at boys thing even though I worked with only males in a dive center he got angry numerous times as felt we looked too cosy or the boy was interested in me blah blah..

But these were not normal discussions like a regular couple may have these were full on arguments him shouting saying I don't respect him and everyone else would look at me like I am a whore because I am talking to a man.. I tried to explain how can I avoid talking at work.. But it was no good he never understood.. I felt I was loosing my mind.. I am still not sure it is back!! So how did you finally get away in the end?

Did you have to escape or was it just your return ticket that you went back home on? I hated Cairo and could never live there.. Sharm was nice but also very dirty in parts away from the hotel.. I am sick of people telling me how crazy I am to come back to the uk and leave a nice sunny country.. I am too exhausted to explain over and over!! Hope we can speak soon it would be interesting..
