Right On Susie! You couldn't have said it more perfectly! There is NO doubt that Islam is still living in the 7th Century - there is NO such thing - as "Modern Islam" - In fact, I see them only moving backward. Don't you think it's time that Islam adapt to what Christianity and Judaism did centuries ago..and that is....to figure out how to reconcile faith with the modern world? It's interesting that for 30 years in Egypt alone, Hosni Mubarak KEPT EGYPT FROM BECOMING MODERN. He and his military took control of the economy, and they wrecked it, completely!

This is a country of 90 million people, half of whom are illiterate, 70 percent of whom live on the land - and which imports half its food. Then there is Morsi who did absolutely NOTHING to make Egypt "MODERN" and, in fact, he was taking it BACKWARDS. NOW - Egypt is on the verge of mass starvation. The country is DEAD BROKE - its only successful industry, tourism - NO LONGER EXISTS. So much for the revenue they so depend on from people like myself who lived in their country.

Ha - NO WAY - will I EVER go back......Just this July - with it's prospect of mass starvation - 20 million Egyptians took to the streets in protests. They're running out of food, and also fuel. I don't know if they'll "get it right" this time. Who know's - but it's time they stop pushing the 'REWIND BUTTON' if they want to climb out of their mess!!!! With that being said - I believe you will see more and more scams from Muslim men who are looking for a way out - and their BEST option is to gain a Visa through a foreign women or lie his way into her heart to obtain her money. They are PRO'S at this and will do just about anything to obtain it. Naturally LYING is what they do BEST and it IS ALLOWED in Islam to LIE to us infidels - it's called (Taqiyya). I had it happen to me on several occasions while living in Egypt, more so by the EGY man I was with, but ALSO by his family AND friends, who took it upon themselves to befriend me, but only to have an ulterior motive - TO STEAL and trick me - amongst the many other things which I have previously posted in this forum! I am SO~~~~ happy I am not involved with my EX Muslim any longer - it's been post 4 months since I have returned to the States - Life is going well - :-)
