To Bec's

Oh Bec's - I have been following your posts for quite some time - and I always value how 'honest' and forthright you are! - - - - A WONDERFUL quality to have -:)

I COMPLETELY understand Bec's what you had just gone through with your EGY man - this LAST encounter with him certainly DID show his 'true colors'. Bec's - these men - can be the sweetest men on the planet - - but they just don't love as you and I do. Certainly - he claimed he loved you and you felt this in your heart also- but - their idea of love and what is normal to us - are on opposite ends of the spectrum. My EGY man went balistic even if I dared look up as I walked down the street. He was constantly watching me to see if I looked at any other man. If he felt I was - then he would either scream at me in public or he would literally lay into me when we got home. It made no sense to me - yes, I am attractive - but - I am NOT a flirt and would never disrespect ANY man that I am with. - BUT - because of their culture - this is how they are!

I did NOT like Egypt - it was filthy - over crowded - least to mention - I really missed my great life back home in America! I believe you had read some of my previous posts about my time spent in Egypt and our (Urfi) contract of marriage - In short - his TRUE colors came out also - and I strongly believe it would have only gotten WORSE! These men control their women - and - you are right when they say the police will do NOTHING to help you! - My EGY man said the same thing to me - I OWN you, the Police will DO NOTHING - so you can scream and cry all you like. The sad part - is- it is ALL TRUE!

Bec's when I left Egypt - I didn't turn back - of course - my heart was broke - but so was my spirit from a man who tryed to break me and mold me. I value who God created me to be and I'm NOT going to let any man take that from me - Upon returning to the states - I also blocked him from every angle - deleted pic's - every memory of him - but NOT my phone number because I had the same number for the past 20 years and was not about to change it for business and personal reasons. So naturally - he left message after message proclaiming his love for me - I NEVER ANSWERED and NEVER RESPONDED! As time passed he became angry that he couldn't control me from afar - so he would leave messages stating how he found a BEAUTIFUL rich women to take care of him - Once again - I never responded and NEVER will. It has been post 4 months since I departed Egypt - and he has finally stopped violating my privacy.

Bec's, these men can't offer us the same lifestyle as to what you and I are used to, nor can they love in a 'normal' fashion - there culture and religion is just to different - and - they certainly do not value women like they should. Egypt is still living in the 7th Century Bec's- and WILL be for decades to come.

You MUST stay STRONG Bec's - it's day by day - but you WILL get through to the other side, this I can promise you. I also invested well over 2 years with my EGY man who t was just a couple of years younger than I - I thought too, this man truly loved me -but- in the end I realized that it was not about LOVE - and more about CONTROL. I am so happy to be home - certainly, the memories haunt me on occasion - and I've had to sort through them. But at this point - I am doing great - I have not dated or tryed to replace him - but - I HAVE traveled to other beautiful places here in the States - I have been working out at the gym - spending time with my family and friends - and most importantly I am keeping my faith STRONG in God - and you will get there too Bec's - but FIRST you just need to say GOODBYE forever - close the door - and appreciate what you learned from your experience - You WILL be just fine without him Bec's and at some point in your life (once you are past the hurt) you will realize this!
