Correction to Luigi's advice

The possibilities :

They may not even know the full extent of what is going on

They could be in on it

They only see it as two adults who can make decisions for themselves.

How can they be happy with that??

Luigi - this is not correct. Egyptian families DO have a say in who their sons and daughters are romantically involved with. In fact the family must approve of the relationship BEFORE any interaction takes place and then it is only when a chaperone is present. If they are seeing the woman online this indicates that the Egyptian man's family is in on the scam. They will not want a woman twice their son's age as a prospective wife. They will require that the bride be a virgin and Muslim. This is totally a scam!
