And his whole family has sat down and talked to me, smiling and waving to me, are they for real? Or are they in on this too? Or are they just happy to see that their son has found someone? I am twice his age!

The possibilities :

They may not even know the full extent of what is going on

They could be in on it

Theyonly see it as two adults who can make decisions for themselves.

How can they be happy with that??

The number one thing to remember about friends and family of someone you are romantically involved with on-line is that no matter how much they say they care (or don't care, for that matter) is that they do not have a direct stake in an exclusive romantic relationship, on-line or otherwise.

And just when i feel like I am going to call it quits with him, a good friend of mine who is also involved with many Egyptian men and she is 55 and they are in early twenties, convinces me to go back to him. But she is the only one to tell me to do that.

This concerns me greatly because she is giving you bad advice, and I fear it's from her own selfish behaviour.

What is going on here?

Well, you got yourself into a bad situation, and it's time to look to the future so you can get back on your feet.

Delete him, ditch him, spend some time away from the computer.
