Hi Becs , Why stay in the U.K ? There are plenty of countries you can move to . Take a little time at home to recover enjoy your friends and family ,get a job ,save some money and plan your future. I think that you should stop all communication with your X. Remember why he is your X .Sounds like he was trying to control and isolate you . Now why would he want to do that ? What was he doing while you were home alone? I met a girl here about 6 years ago in your situation .She went home missed him ,came back after about 6 months .After she came back he locked her in the apartment every time that he went out.She was even more miserable, she went back to the UK again .After about 2 or 3 months she came back again she married him .

After The marriage they decided to move to the UK (surprise surprise ) She worked 2 sometimes 3 jobs in the UK to be able to fund his visa . He moved to the UK never held down a job.They had a baby. He has left her . She is devastated. When you are truly loved you know it . Words are very easy Becs ,it's what people do , not what they say that tells us who they are. Start planning your travels and look forward not backwards. Forget him now. Enjoy the freedom of being single. When you are ready to start dating again be selective. There are plenty of men in the UK . Maybe you will meet a man that shares your desire to live and work abroad. A man that understands and respects you. A man with the same background and values that you hold .A man that truly loves you with all his heart. Do not settle for anything less. You owe it to yourself . Good luck Becs you are obviously a strong and intelligent young woman you will recover your happiness sooner than you think .
