Iraqi man (comment from Gail)

good evening Gail,

I would not know if this is common or not, I am not versed enough on the subject. What I am certain about is that my Iraqi man does not have a lot of respect for some of the rules that the Islam religion has. It could be that he and his mom are joshing each other. he thinks there are a lot of bad ways in the Islamic religion...we have discussed at length many different subjects, particularly about how woman are treated, poligamy, etc. He said not one single member of his family for years back has ever practiced any of these barbaric laws in regards to women and other things. I think he tells his mom he is sunni just to get a reaction, it is like a joke or something. I don't know enough to laugh or comment, I just listen to him. Thanks for your comment.
