Iraqi man (comment to Danniah)

Where do you get your information that women are not allowed to leave. If they have their own money and visiting who would stop them? While it may have been like that a long time ago, I think many things have changed...Their are consultants and embassies and who would be the one to prevent someone from leaving and middle eastern country? Now some M.E. countries I would not travel to due to safety issues...(Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Egypt, Syria, Libia)...but Lebanon, Jordan and others are very safe and the people there very different from what you read about. I'm just curious where you get your information.
