Marrying an Egyptian man

I would just like to say, that whilst marrying someone from a different culture isnt easy and may not always succeed, this doesn't mean all these relationships will fail. It isn't common place for a this type of relationship in comparison to marrying in your own country and its commonly and unfairly highlighted and critisised, blaming culture and religion. I think some people like to highlight these failings and in doing so give a very false impression for hundreds of successful marriages of this kind. Any marriage can fail.

I met my fiance on a online game initially on FB, we are often referred to as stereotypical (Young Egyptian older woman) and before anyone comments on that I have heard it all, All relationships are unique. It took me a long time to accept his advances towards me were genuine. We have been together now as a couple for over three and a half years and are accepted by both our families. In that time I have known women in my own country (England) that have met, married, divorced and remarried English men, without blaming culture or religion, so I would say our three years together so far is a great success story.

With any relationship, you get to know each other, you learn to live together, you ride out the storms, and if you cant, then you call it a day. There are many women in marriages in the UK who feel, they are abused or neglected by their husbands and are treated unfairly, this isn't only marrying a foreigner trait as has been mentioned in previous posts. An Egyptian man, if you find the right one for you, can be as good or as bad as any man. No one can keep up a pretense forever, take your time you will know if you are accepting of his ways or if you cant.

It is so hard to think a holiday romance sparks so many miserable marriages, if a holiday romance is all you would base your wedded life on, then you have to accept you didnt meet the real person.

Marry in haste repent at your leisure.
