I think you should get your head out of your books and into the real world. Not all relationships on this site have eventuated from websites and/or cam-corders or whatever you want to call cyberspace.

A great deal of these men have conned and charmed western women while they are working in Turkish tourism. To my way of thinking this is a great detriment to a beautiful Country.

Sometimes, on the western woman's behalf, it is not all about sex - it is about friendship and meeting new people from new countries, however, these men still seem to think western women are "targets" and "jokes" for them to "play" with. The mentality and hearts of these Turkish men? (who, like you said, live in their own little world - which is about 1000 years behind the western world) - are about as good as a bag of frozen peas!!!!
