Unfair assessment

Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men
in response to reader comment: Generalization is the Problem

Salsa,

I have two questions:

Who is this man of yours? Did you meet him on-line?

That is a pretty unfair assessment of what goes on here. When I talk to women on here, I don't read it as generalizing.

I don't think you really appreciate what people on here have gone through and how it has affected our lives, and I would appreciate it if you would be more sensitive.

This blog is not about saying how great Muslim, Arab or Turkish men are, it's about scams. I don't know why you are on here yourself, although my first inclination is that you're relationship isn't so rosy either. If you have to come on here and worry about ethnicity, that's a clear sign that you're relationship isn't as strong as you would like. Otherwise, everything said on here should be like the buzzing of flies to you.

First of all, the cultures of the men involved here only form the motive. Scams occur all the time all over the place. I've written about Russian women several times, yet you do not defend them. Why? Because they are white and Christian?

Secondly, many people on here are confused, and some are hurting, yet many are careful to say that they don't mean ALL men of X race or Y religion or Z country.

Third, you contradict yourself about American and Hispanic men. Every single dating site I have seen, including the Muslim ones, cater in some way, shape or form to American, Canadian and British men. Women from all over the world try to meet these men for various reasons, and America has a growing Hispanic population.

Also, nearly every Latin American nation has population growth. You don't have that without traditional families. It is similar to what happens in the Muslim world.

So, Hispanics and Americans are doing fine, too fine if what I hear what Hamas is planning against us is true.
