i will teach you a little test

If you meet him online. make up a new identity- someone else's photo- new name and city, and send him a message from what ever chat thing you met on. and see what he says, if he takes the bait. ( don't show that you have a web cam) and if he is being honest with you.

I know its a little bad, but in the end it may give you answers to your questions. if he is being honest and committed to you, or every american he chats with too. also ask if he ever meet anyone else online or had any good experiences with chatting with anyone.
