In response to Lila (American marrying moroccan man)

I totally agree, with you. I am in the process of getting ready to marry an African Muslim from Senegal. at first I was kinda of the edge but I am the one who spoke of marriage before him. We have not known each other long but since day one it was love at first sight and I did not believe in it before, its crazy. I am in love with not only him but his family too.

Now the goal is working on my family since I am Christian and have not known him that long. But his family has always been up front and honest. He and I are nine months apart in age. I am older, but we have talked about everything but I also consult with his mother to be sure of his answers. Some of my friends think I am making the wrong decision but I am marrying him they are not. I always have a lot of questions but it is to be expected. I would like to stay CHristian but if it is the Lord/Inchallah will then hey so be it.

He wants our children to know his culture and religion and know my cuilture but not my religion I am willing to compromise. It is going to be about communication. I am not getting married just to get married for fun, it is for life I don't plan on getting a divorce ever, we shall over come all.
