Mexican-American with Arab Boyfriend

Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men
in response to reader comment: If you're contemplating marriage to a Muslim male, consider these few things first...

When I found out about this website, I was amazed and relieved that I was not the only person to be found in a situation where I am Catholic and my boyfriend is full on Arab. My parents are both Mexican, yet I was born in the United States so I consider myself Mexican-Amercian.

This is the problem, I have been going out with my bofriend who's Arab for 2 years and half now and we are starting to talk about marriage. His mother was american and catholic and went to live in Saudi Arabia and converted to Islam to be with my boyfriend's father. My boyfriend has been in the states for 4 years and only came to study. When he graduates he wants to marry me and take me to live with him to Saudi Arabia!

I have already met his mom, she is a very pleasing lady, but I can't see myself living and raising my children in Saudi Arabia. I have told him that I am willing to compromise: I will convert to Islam but we would live in the United States. He strongly opposes this by saying that if we lived in Saudi Arabia we would live a better life. He is not willing to compromise and I think it is not fair for me to sacrifice everything: my religion, my family and friends, my way of life the only life I have ever known! I have never loved anyone the way I love him, we have always pictured ourselves in the future but the future seems so blurry to me right now.

I cry at night sometimes thinking of what I am going to do. It is possible that I will go to Saudi after he graduates, but I still don't think it's fair. Please, I need somebody's advice and comment on what i just wrote.
