Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men
in response to reader comment: Thanks Luigi

A woman, | dated very briefly, the kindest, sweetest
woman, is living now with a Muslim guy. He's
most likely 'player' and from the little | know,
he's grooming and manipulating her to be a like
submissive Muslim woman. He's changed her
behavior, her look, and uses sex as control. He
complains and reduces her self esteem and
then follows with compliment. She tries to
assuage his drama by complying.

| swear it's like hearing about the people
here as well as sex abuse. He uses drama and reward;
Her self esteem depends on his approval. In fact, his control sounds like a definition of sex abuse.

She's admitted to
knowing nothing of Islam; she asked me
if it was a good religion. And she knows nothing
of its treatment of women. He says he will
never marry her, and my guess is he has family
in Jordan where polygamy is allowed. What do I?

I care for the the woman and that is
conflict. But I feel I have to at least write to her
to warn her. She's quickly sinking. I've
prayed and prayed. I don't want to hurt her; |
don't want to be wrong. In the Mideast, | could
be wrong about all this. What do I do?. Please help me.
