correction in Alicia's messageReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Prashant (United States), Feb 1, 2021 at 21:45 Dear Dr Pipes, A very important correction is due in your reader Alicia's message. Alicia -- without any bad intentions-- suggested that there are dhimmis in India and they are discriminated against by Muslims. The fact is that India is not a Muslim majority country and there are dhimmis in India. Ironically, British colonialism in India rescued us twice. First, British colonialism dismantled the Islamic rule in India. That turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Then, when the British left India in 1947, they divided the country into Islamic and non-Islamic parts. Pakistan and Bangladesh became 90+% Islamic nations and democratic and secular India was left for Hindus, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Jews, Zorastrians, Jains, and every one else. Thank God and thank the colonialists.. And, so far so good.
