Jessica,

Pakistani men can be much stricter on their religion than any other Islamic country. Remember their proximity with Afghanistan. Also depends on the clan and caste you're talking about. They're endogenous, depending on the latter as I said. But marriages among cousins is still the norm and the trend. Pasthuns are very religious, for instance, so are the ones who believe they are descendents of the prophet. Also note that those Pakistani wives you're meeting in your country may have probably born in there and have adjusted to the country customs. Some are more flexible as time passes, but this is not their mentality, trust me in this. Read again Elizabeth's post.

Pakistani Muslim man is one of the more rigid man at practicing his religion. They have a unique sense of humour, are funny and gentle in any way, can behave like westerners in any way. They blend well. But it's not for real. They behave like this until they get married. You can see the statistics of domestic violence in their country, women rarely leave the house, it's a men's world. Also check that it is one of the first countries listed as love visa marriage fraud countries. Check honour killing rate in there. Kari karo. I could keep going. If you think they take lightly their religion which is completly blend with their culture, you're very wrong. Also, please, do not mix other Indian religions/believe systems with Islam because it's like talking about day and night. Don't you know the rivalry between Pakistan and India?

Please, be careful and check the numbers, the reports and the news before you post on here. Please, do not confuse the audience on here.
