I second thatReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Lina (United Kingdom), May 5, 2020 at 19:26 I too have vowed to avoid getting involved with another Muslim man. Like you said they are not all bad - they can and do make fantastic husbands and fathers. But the differences are too vast. The amount of sacrifices that you.. as the non-Muslim female.. have to make, is obscene. You lose while the man gains... everything. Male privilege, bonus points, live-in servant. You essentially have to wipe out your former identity, from name to hobbies to faith (which is what holds the appeal for insecure women). And it's really a shame, because I don't like to discriminate based on race or religion. But... the thing that bothers me the most... and has gotten a lot of us into the same predicament... ... is the lying and misleading. The famous "bait and switch", where they'll have you believe they're secular, non-practising (true to a degree), "I'm not like other guys". And then three years down the line they want you in a niqab, and you have to ask for permission to get your (haram) nails done. Even though he was O.K having pre-marital sex. Oh believe me, it happens more often than you'd imagine, especially if they plan to raise a family with you.
