Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men
in response to reader comment: Bride price

It makes me feel sick thinking has my money been given to his virgin bride?!!! I'm not sure about his wealth but all his family have businesses and he has so I wouldn't say they were poor ... I have saw him deposit money in lots of different accounts. He makes out he doesn't have much money but I don't believe him! Well clearly they have money because the 'wedding' did look lavish! (Even though he still denies it was his wedding. He says it was a circumsion party)
I thought I was a strong independent woman but I've really allowed this guy in my head the last 6 months. I believed every word he said to me (I was guarded at the beginning) but he broke through my barriers!
They all are fantastic actors, I have my doubts about him now.
Even last night he put his older brother and sister in law on FaceTime to me saying he wants me to meet all his family because now I'm part of the family. It just baffles me where this 'wife' is?!!!
He is controlling and some things I will put up with but his tantrums are unreal! He really doesn't take no as an answer!
I want to start learning the Kurdish language so I know what they are saying ... his English is perfect.
Thank you for all your help and advice it really has made me look and think x
