Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men
in response to reader comment: women here bash MENA men but seem to want to be a part of our culture

Hello Lexi

No one on this forum aimed to be a part of your culture.I am pretty much happy with my own culture.
While meeting Muslim man,we did not know much about the culture, but were more focused in a relationship with a man, rather than with Muslim.

In my case-after learning that he was f...ng(pardon my "French") everything, that moves,I would not touch that porn addict with a 6-foot pole! No thank you!
I call him "second hand" man!
I was the one, who dumped him!

And the more research I did afterwards, looking for the answers about his behavior, trying to reason it-the less and less part of his culture I wanted to be!!!! Being a slave of pot bellied pig is not my goal!

I am independent, free will woman, who lives her life as she pleases, without asking someone's opinion.
Under no circumstances a man will be telling me what to do, how to dress,or question my actions! If that ever happens, he will be quickly out of the door and the option "second chance" will be permanently disabled for him!
I am very happily married to a man from my own culture and the reason I am staying on this forum is to help someone, who is in my shoes at this point in life,by sharing my thoughts and experience.

As much as I like Eastern culture(I have my Eastern woman ancestors in my blood too),music,history-I can not tolerate the way women being treated by so-called men:part of it is the culture and religion.

Not all are bad, there are very rare exclusions, but in this forum we speak about our individual encounters with them, which were not the best experience for the majority of the women on this forum.

The name of the forum speaks for its purpose!

So,do not expect a "sweet talk" here of how great the marriages with Muslim man and non-Muslim woman could be!

Take care
Lana
