The first mistake

Was marrying this man so soon. It's out of the question - the world over - to get married in such a short period of time. Even arranged marriages are the result of thorough scrutiny and research.

Your daughter has unfortunately married a control freak, a Kurdish one at that; these people are very stubborn and set in their ways. It's how they've survived countless wars and discrimination. When you break things off they may also resort to stalking.

Their culture is not even that Islamic, but it's very much honour based, and the men are extremely jealous. My Kurdish ex smashed my phone against a wall when he thought I was communicating with an ex. I'm pretty sure he didn't like me having a personal phone period. Actually, it was more like a father-daughter relationship lol. I really don't know what to advise you, because your daughter is not only married to the man but is bound by kids. So for me, as a single woman without kids, it was relatively easy to break free (even then I was followed).

Anyway, the marriage seems to have a lack of trust as well as respect. It's not normal - even for a jealous man - to keep a woman away from her own mother unless he's abusing her. So you really need to find out more what's going on, and take action accordingly....
