Agree Siobhan that this board is becoming far too heated, with too many emotions flying around. Although... I can see why in the case of someone making blanket statements like "you all deserved it". The poster was a flamethrower and I believe she wished to provoke rather than to educate. Because regardless of her authenticity, whatever she was trying to point out wasn't exactly going to erase what happened to us. It's almost like telling a rape victim she should've stayed at home or shouldn't have flirted so much. It was neither helpful nor empowering. Had she come to us correctly, with a different tone we might've taken her comments on board.

Nevertheless, I for one am going to be avoiding ad hominem (lol) attacks and focusing more on the topic. People like her are looking for a reaction, which is why I stopped corresponding. I hope my comments come in use to anyone reading. Happy new year!
