Hello Lauren,

I think you already know the answer to this problem. Absolutely no good will come of it.

I had a Pakistani in my life at one stage. He, a divorcee with children, was a user and a manipulator like no other. He would definitely fit the description of "If his lips are moving, he is lying". He even lied about his age. I thought I was older than he for many years, until his daughter revealed the real number. Hahaha! I had no idea men hid their ages.

He too had many health issues and they were real. I often wondered if it was a result of marrying close relatives. That did not preventing him from being a rat though.

I started second-guessing things when he forced his young daughters to marry his sister's sons...a tradition. I just assumed that he was now living in a big, first world city, so those traditions were no longer valid. How wrong I was.
He bought me many shalwar kameez (their women's clothing) complete with head scarves and I was expected to wear it, because he didn't like Western clothes on women. Of course I was not about to succumb to that one, under any circumstance.

To make a long story short, I left him. It feels good to be proactive in these instances. A preemptive strike on a rat is very satisfying, even when you are hurting. It is not easy because they will always try to weasel their way back but it is a decision you MUST uphold.

Good luck Lauren. Please do what you must. You deserve so much more than this. Listen to Lana, I read her comment about three times already. It is very empowering.

Regards,

Siobhan#1
