Yes,Mona,you are spot on.
There were times when marrying many women was --probably--necessary under a culture(?).One would ideally look for husbands elsewhere if women outnumber men and sort out the issue.
No woman can or should be public property even if she ,sadly,has to turn to prostitution due to circumstances as we must respect free will and their dignity.There is so much lack of logic and primitive thinking involved in justifying wrong concepts of tenets which could have belonged to some distant past.
White washing these is big business now and then dub the collection of the tenets "peaceful" becomes very noble.
